Set in early 1900s Sweden, Everlasting Moments follows Maria, a young working-class woman whose life is turned upside down when she unexpectedly wins a camera. Married to the charismatic but unstable Sigfrid, Maria must contend with his drinking, infidelity and growing violence while trying to keep their family together.
A chance friendship with Mr. Petersson, the local photographic shop owner, introduces her to the craft of photography. Through the lens she discovers a new way of seeing the world—a private refuge and a means of self-expression that quietly strengthens her over the years as she raises their children.
What begins as a small, accidental prize becomes a powerful tool for personal transformation, allowing Maria to reclaim moments of beauty and dignity amid hardship and social change.
