Demons (1985) Netflix
After a mysterious stranger hands out free tickets to the grand opening of a newly renovated, gothic cinema, Cheryl and her friend Kathy skip out to see the premiere. During the screening a woman tries on a prop demon mask and cuts her face; the wound quickly becomes infected and she mutates into a savage, fanged creature. What begins as a freak incident soon turns into an epidemic as the infected bite and spread the curse to other patrons.
The theater’s exits vanish and the audience is trapped inside while more and more people transform into bloodthirsty monsters. Cheryl, a few other survivors and an unlikely band of punkish allies must fight their way through the collapsing, gore-filled auditorium — using whatever weapons they can find, including motorcycles and a samurai sword — to stay alive as the demonic outbreak threatens to spill out into the city.
