For Jack, a five-year-old boy, his room is the whole world, the place where he was born, where he eats, plays and learns with his mother. At night, Mom puts him to sleep in the closet, in case old Nick comes. The room is Jack’s home, while for his mother it is the cubicle where he has been locked up for seven years, kidnapped since the age of nineteen. With great skill and wit, the young woman has created in that reduced space a life for her son, and her love for him is the only thing that allows him to endure the unbearable. However, Jack’s curiosity is increasing, while his mother’s despair, the room will not be able to contain both things much longer.
