The Karate Kid Part III finds Daniel LaRusso and his mentor Mr. Miyagi facing a new campaign of vengeance after the humiliating defeat of Cobra Kai. Ostracized sensei John Kreese turns to an old Vietnam comrade, wealthy businessman and martial-arts veteran Terry Silver, who hatches a ruthless plan to destroy Daniel and Miyagi and restore Cobra Kai’s reputation.
Back from Okinawa, Daniel and Miyagi try to rebuild their lives—Daniel even taps his college fund to help Miyagi open a bonsai shop—only to be pulled into Terry’s manipulation. Silver hires a vicious prizefighter, Mike Barnes, to intimidate Daniel and force him into a rematch at the All-Valley tournament. When Miyagi refuses to prepare Daniel for a fight motivated by nothing but a trophy, Daniel is tempted by Terry’s so-called training, which soon reveals dangerous and deceitful tactics that threaten Daniel’s safety and his bond with Miyagi.
The film escalates into a showdown of loyalties and honor as Daniel must choose between easy, corrupt shortcuts and the true lessons taught by his mentor, culminating in a high-stakes tournament confrontation.
