When high-level executive Dick Harper is made the public scapegoat in an Enron-style collapse at Globodyne, he and his wife Jane lose their jobs, savings and home equity and quickly sink into financial ruin. After failed attempts to find work and a foreclosure notice, the desperate couple turns to petty robbery to keep afloat — and surprisingly become quite good at it. Their criminal streak is complicated by guilt when innocent people are hurt, and when they uncover that Globodyne’s top brass actually looted the company, Dick and Jane hatch a plan to expose and get even with the true culprits.
