Adonis Johnson did not come to know his father, the champion of the heavyweight world Apollo Creed, who died before he was born. However, no one can deny that he has boxing in his blood, so he makes his way to Philadelphia, the place where the legendary match between his father and Rocky Balboa was held. Once there, Adonis seeks Rocky and asks him to be his coach. Although he insists that he has already left that world forever, Rocky sees in Adonis the strength and determination that his bitter rival had, and that he ended up becoming his best friend. Finally, he agrees to train him despite being waging his own fight against a more lethal rival than anyone he faced in the ring.
