A mismatched pair of NYPD desk jockeys get their shot at glory in this buddy-cop comedy. Mild-mannered paperwork specialist Allen Gamble and hot-tempered detective Terry Hoitz spend their days overshadowed by the force’s celebrity duo, Danson and Highsmith. When the city’s superstar cops are suddenly taken out of the picture, Gamble and Hoitz find themselves propelled into action after what looks like a minor scaffolding/permit complaint grows into a far-reaching corporate conspiracy. Reluctant, ill-prepared and wildly out of their element, the two must learn to rely on one another, confront past mistakes, and stumble their way toward proving they’re more than just “the other guys."
