Pansy is struggling to hold herself together after losing her mother, battling persistent physical pain and a deepening depression. Her suffering comes out as anger and confrontation — she snaps at her husband Curtley, pushes away her quiet son Moses, and picks fights with strangers and store clerks. Isolated and volatile, she alienates most around her, except for her warm-hearted sister Chantelle, who remains the only one able to understand and help.
