Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles follows four ordinary pet turtles—Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo—who are transformed into humanoid teens by a mysterious mutagen and trained in ninjutsu by their adopted father and sensei, Splinter (once Hamato Yoshi). Rising from their sewer hideout beneath Manhattan, the brothers team up with intrepid reporter April O’Neil to protect the city from dangerous enemies like the Shredder, the alien Kraang and an array of super-powered mutants, all while learning to trust one another, grow into their roles as heroes, and enjoy the occasional slice of pizza.
