In the coastal city of Kamakura, three adult sisters—Sachi, Yoshino and Chika—share their late grandmother's house, having been raised together after their father walked out and their mother left. When news arrives of their father's death, the sisters attend his funeral only to discover a lively, thirteen-year-old half-sister, Suzu, who was left behind. Moved by her presence and unsure that her stepmother can care for her, they invite Suzu to move in, and her arrival gently reshapes their routines, relationships and sense of family, opening a quieter path toward healing and new purpose.
