Set during a violent, war-torn era, Dororo follows a boy robbed of his body when his power-hungry father bargains away his newborn’s organs to a host of demons in exchange for victory. Abandoned to die but rescued by a healer, the child is outfitted with crude yet lethal prosthetics and grows into Hyakkimaru, who hunts the monsters that hold his stolen limbs—regaining himself piece by piece. Along the way he meets Dororo, a quick-witted orphan thief, and together they travel the ravaged countryside, battling demons and confronting the moral and political forces behind Hyakkimaru’s curse.
