Miami’s loud-mouthed narcotics duo Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett are back on the beat when a flood of ecstasy hitting Florida points to a ruthless Cuban kingpin, Johnny Tapia. As the partners chase leads through Miami’s clubs, morgues and money-laundering rings — and even into the barrios of Cuba — they get pulled into a brutal turf war involving Russian mobsters and corrupt operators. Complicating matters, Mike has secretly been seeing Marcus’s sister, Sydney “Syd" Burnett, who is working undercover for the DEA; when her cover is blown and she’s kidnapped, the case becomes personal. With bullets, car chases and nonstop banter, Mike and Marcus push past department rules and recruit outside help to bring Tapia down and rescue Syd, putting their friendship and lives on the line in a high-octane blend of action and comedy.
