Eleanor (Kristen Bell) is a New Jersey woman who, after being hit by a truck carrying erectile dysfunction products, wakes up to discover that she has reached the afterlife. His mentor, Michael (Ted Danson), informs her that she is now in the right place, "the right place", due to her proper behavior in her previous life. But when she finds out that she's been mistaken for someone else, she begins to try to lie low so no one will see her mistake. Eleanor realizes that she has not been a good person, so she decides to start a new life trying to learn what is really "good" or "bad", and try to make up for her past behavior.
