FBI agent Sean Archer, driven by the need to stop the terrorist who killed his son, agrees to undergo an experimental facial transplant to impersonate mastermind Castor Troy and extract information about a deadly weapon hidden in Los Angeles. The plan collapses when Troy awakens, forces surgeons to graft Archer’s face onto him, and then steps into Archer’s life — living with his family, destroying his reputation and covering his tracks. Stripped of his identity and freedom, Archer must escape, reclaim his name and stop Troy before the city — and everything Archer holds dear — is lost.
