Super 8 (2011) Netflix
Summer of 1979: a tight-knit group of kids in a small Ohio town spend their days shooting a zombie movie on a Super-8 camera. While filming at the rail yard they witness a horrific train derailment that barely spares them — and soon after the town is plagued by strange disappearances and unexplained events. Joe Lamb’s father, Deputy Jackson Lamb, investigates and the children begin to suspect the crash was no accident, leading them to a terrifying discovery: something not of this world has been unleashed on their community.
