Interview with the Vampire (1994) Netflix

In present-day San Francisco a skeptical reporter, Daniel Molloy, convinces a haunted stranger, Louis de Pointe du Lac, to recount his unbelievable past on tape. Louis explains how, in late-18th-century New Orleans, grief over his wife and child left him ready to die until the magnetic and amoral Lestat de Lioncourt turned him into a vampire. Repulsed by the thought of killing humans, Louis refuses to feed the way Lestat does; to bind him, Lestat transforms a dying little girl, Claudia, into an eternally young vampire, and the three form a twisted, dependent “family." Over the next two centuries Louis endures loneliness, passion, violence, and betrayal, traveling in search of answers about his condition and the terrible cost of immortality.
