Deconstructing Harry follows Harry Block, a successful but self-centered novelist whose habit of mining his own life—and the lives of those around him—for fiction has left him isolated and resented. As Harry drives upstate, scenes from his books and memories of his misdeeds blur with reality, forcing him to confront the personal wreckage his work has caused.
