The King's Speech

The Duke of York became King of England under the name of George VI (1936-1952), after the abdication of his older brother, Edward VIII. His stuttering, which was a great inconvenience to the performance of his duties, led him to seek the help of Lionel Logue, an expert orator who tried, through a series of unorthodox techniques, to eliminate this defect in the monarch's speech.
