Based on a story by Stephen King, he tells the story of a rather skeptical horror novel writer (John Cusack). In fact, he is dedicated to discrediting paranormal phenomena occurring in so-called haunted houses. Although he does not believe in the existence of life beyond death, his ideas about it will change when he enters room 1408 of the Dolphin Hotel.
