Sarah Connor, the single mother of the rebel John Connor, is admitted to a psychiatric ward. A few years earlier, a time traveler had revealed to her that his son would be the savior of humanity in a machine-dominated future. He then became a kind of warrior and educated his son John in survival tactics. This is why he is being held in a madhouse. When a new improved android, a T-1000, arrives from the future to assassinate John, an old T-800 model will be sent to protect him.
