Four friends who live in the city decide to spend a weekend in the Appalachian Mountains, away from their families and office problems. They want to canoe down a river that runs through a forest that will soon be flooded for the construction of a dam. Everything seems to be going well but, after a pleasant day, meeting the locals turns the excursion into a harrowing nightmare.
