Blast From the Past (1999) Netflix

In the early 1960s, eccentric inventor Calvin Webber and his wife Helen seal themselves in a reinforced fallout shelter after a nearby accident convinces them a nuclear war has begun. Their shelter, stocked and sealed for decades, becomes a time capsule: their son Adam is born and raised underground, steeped in 1960s music, manners and the cautious teachings of his father.
Decades later, with supplies dwindling, Adam is finally sent to the surface to collect provisions — and, if possible, find a suitable wife. When he steps into 1990s Los Angeles he is completely out of his depth. A chance meeting with Eve, a sharp-edged young woman who reluctantly helps him navigate the bewildering modern world, sparks a gentle culture-clash romance. The film mixes fish-out-of-water comedy with warm-hearted romance as Adam’s old-fashioned optimism collides with contemporary cynicism and unexpected connections form.
