Doubt (2008) Netflix

1964, a Catholic elementary school in the Bronx: Sister Aloysius, the strict, no-nonsense principal, becomes convinced that the charismatic parish priest, Father Flynn, is taking an inappropriate interest in Donald, the school's first Black pupil. With no concrete evidence but a deep moral certainty, she launches a private crusade to expose him, drawing in the well-meaning Sister James and the boy’s conflicted mother. The resulting clash—an escalating war of wills between authority, conscience and doubt—threatens to fracture the close-knit parish. Based on the Pulitzer Prize–winning play, the film probes questions of faith, power and the limits of certainty.
