In the summer of 1954, judicial agents Teddy Daniels (DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Ruffalo) are destined to a remote island in Boston's port to investigate the disappearance of a dangerous killer (Mortimer) who was held in the psychiatric hospital Ashecliffe, a prison facility for disturbed criminals run by sinister Dr. John Cawley (Kingsley). They will soon discover that the center keeps many secrets and that the island hides something more dangerous than patients. Psychological Thriller based on Dennis Lehane's novel of the same name (author of "Mystic River" and "Gone Baby Gone").
