The Lobster (2015) Netflix Thailand

The Lobster

Set in a dryly comic dystopia, The Lobster follows David, a recently single man who is sent to a regimented hotel where unattached people must find a compatible partner within 45 days. If they fail, they are physically transformed into the animal of their choosing and released into the surrounding wilderness — a fate David quietly plans for by selecting a lobster. Outside the hotel lives a band of anti-coupling loners who have escaped the city’s rules, but they forbid romantic attachments among themselves. The film tracks David’s struggle to navigate the absurd, authoritarian matchmaking system, the strange ethics of the loners, and the film’s larger questions about loneliness, conformity and what it means to love.
