Flee is an animated documentary that follows Amin, an Afghan refugee who escaped to Denmark as an unaccompanied child. As he prepares to marry his long-time boyfriend, Amin decides to finally share a painful secret he has carried for decades. The film uses stylized animation both to protect his identity and to weave memory, time and emotion into a visceral, poetic account of survival, exile and the costs of starting a new life.
