More than two decades after the original disaster, Isla Nublar has been reborn as Jurassic World, a fully operational dinosaur theme park designed to thrill visitors. To reverse a slump in attendance, the park’s scientists create a genetically engineered hybrid—far more cunning and deadly than expected—which breaks free and shatters the facility’s safety systems. Owen Grady, a Velociraptor trainer and animal behavior expert, and Claire Dearing, the park’s operations manager, must scramble to contain the outbreak and protect stranded guests, including Claire’s nephews, as the island descends into chaos. The escape forces the staff to confront the consequences of tampering with nature and fight for survival against predators engineered for profit.
