In the world of the owners of great felines, reality far exceeds fiction. Among the eccentric and gurus that inhabit it, few stand out as much as Joe Exotic, a Country Polygamo singer and weapons lover who runs a road zoo in Oklahoma. Joe, a charismatic but unreasonable guy, and incredible characters - among which drug lords, scammers and sect leaders - have something in common: their passion for great felines and the status and attention that their Animal collections. But the situation becomes dangerous when Carole Baskin, an activist for animal rights and owner of a shelter of great felines, threatens to ruin the business, fanning a rivalry that ends with Joe's arrest, accused of hiring a murderer hired. Research reveals a twisted and rocambolesque story that makes one thing clear: the only thing more dangerous than a great feline is its owner.
