When Nora (born Na Young) and Hae Sung were children in Korea they formed a close bond, but Nora’s family emigrated when she was ten and the two were separated. Decades later, now going by Nora and building a life as a playwright in New York while Hae Sung has stayed in Korea and pursued work and obligations there, they reconnect online. A brief reunion — and a week spent together in New York — forces them to reckon with the enduring pull between them, the roads they chose, and what “fate" really means. Tender and bittersweet, the film follows their attempt to reconcile past longings with the lives they’ve made.
