An overworked little girl is being groomed by her mother for a strictly adult future when an eccentric, retired aviator moves in next door and opens a door to imagination. He tells her the extraordinary story of a mysterious boy — the Little Prince — who fell to Earth from a tiny asteroid, and of the pilot who met him after crash-landing in the Sahara. Through the aviator’s tales (including the famous drawing of a “sheep in a box") the girl is swept into the prince’s whimsical world, reconnecting with the wonder and emotions of childhood. Ultimately she learns that what really matters are human bonds and truths you can only see with the heart.
