In "Mortal Kombat", Cole Young, MMA's fighter (mixed martial arts), accustomed to receiving beatings for money, does not know his ancestry, and does not know why Emperor Shang Tsung from Outworld has sent his best warrior, sub- Zero, a supernatural cryomancer, to hunt school. Cole fears for the safety of his family and looks for Sonya Blade following the instructions of Jax, a commander of the special forces that has the same strange dragon brand with which Cole was born.
