Year 2371. Transported to the Delta quadrant by a hostile force that has killed half of its crew, Captain Kathryn Janeway is forced to make a pact with the assailants: the crew of a ship of renegade officers of the Federation, known as Maquis. While the tension between the maquis and the officers of the stellar fleet explodes in violent occasional incidents, the crew has to face greater and more mortiferous dangers, in the form of mysterious space anomalies that threaten to destroy the ship on more than one occasion. There are also the violent and threatening local races, such as the bellicose Kazon, and the sinister organs of organs of the vidiian sodality.
