As a baby, Buddy unknowingly crawls into Santa’s gift sack and is raised at the North Pole as one of the elves. When he grows up and still feels out of place, his search for belonging sends him to New York to find his birth father, Walter Hobbs — a busy, work-obsessed publisher who had no idea Buddy existed and is squarely on Santa’s naughty list. In the big city Buddy’s unbridled cheer and elf-sized view of the world clash with adult cynicism, but his joy and determination begin to thaw hardened hearts and help restore the true meaning of Christmas.
