Wealthy Texas magnate J.W. Grant hires four seasoned professionals — each a specialist in dangerous work — to cross the border into Mexico and bring back his wife, Maria, who is said to have been seized by the revolutionary leader Jesús Raza. Among the team are old comrades of Raza who know the terrain and the man, but as they track the captors and reach the encampment the rescuers uncover unexpected facts about the apparent kidnapping and about their employer’s true intentions, forcing them to confront difficult choices.
