Kevin Lomax, a brilliant young defense attorney from Florida who has never lost a case, is tempted away from his small-town life when a prestigious New York firm offers him the opportunity of a lifetime. Under the mentorship of the suave and magnetic John Milton, Kevin's career and ego soar, but his success comes at a cost: he becomes increasingly distant from his wife, Mary Ann, who begins experiencing disturbing, violent visions.
