November 1932. Godsford Park is the magnificent country mansion to which Sir William McCordle and his wife Lady Sylvia invite family and friends for a game of hunt. The guests are very different: a countess, a heroine of the First World War, the idol of the masses Ivor Novello and an American film producer. While the guests occupy the luxurious rooms above, their servants live below with the hosts' servants. However, all is not what it seems, neither among the guests nor among the servants who care about the well-being of their masters.
