Ichigo Kurosaki is a teenager who has been able to see spirits since childhood. His life changes when he meets Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper who fights monstrous Hollows; after she is wounded in battle, Rukia transfers her powers to Ichigo so he can protect his family. Thrust into the role of a Soul Reaper, Ichigo must learn to use his new abilities, confront malevolent spirits, and help maintain the balance between the world of the living and the afterlife. The series is adapted from Tite Kubo’s manga.
