1923 is a period drama prequel to Yellowstone that follows the Dutton family as they struggle to hold on to their Montana ranch amid sweeping change. Set in the early twentieth century, the series confronts Prohibition, Western expansion, historic droughts, pandemics and the onset of the Great Depression — forces that bring violence, greed and desperation to Paradise Valley. As outside pressures mount, the Duttons are forced to defend their land and legacy by any means necessary. The show continues the Yellowstone origin story and was renewed for a second (and final) season.
