Without apparent reason, Cora Tannetti (Jessica Biel), a young woman who is in a lake with her husband and her son, stabs a stranger to kill him. In his statement he says not knowing why he has done it. A policeman (Billman) begins to investigate and become obsessed with discovering the hidden reason of the woman. Together they will make a heartbreaking trip to the depths of their psyche to unravel the secrets hidden in their past.
