In 1880s France, young orphan Félicie dreams of dancing on the great stage. She and her inventive friend Victor run away from their Brittany orphanage for Paris, the City of Light, but the pair are soon separated—Victor finds work at Gustave Eiffel’s workshop while Félicie is drawn to the Paris Opera. Taken in by Odette, a limping cleaner, Félicie scrubs floors, spies on rehearsals and clashes with the imperious Régine Le Haut’s daughter, Camille. After Camille destroys Félicie’s beloved music box, Félicie hides Camille’s acceptance letter to the prestigious ballet school and impersonates her to chase the future she’s always wanted. It’s a story of grit, friendship and the risks one takes to follow a dream.
