New York, 1932. Ray Gibson is a small -rise criminal who has just sneaked into the Spanky club and immediately detects his first victim of the night. The naive Claude Banks, an aspiring accountant, has left his girlfriend that night and little suspects that he has become Ray's target. Claude's portfolio passes to Ray, who believes he has achieved the money to pay for the game debt with Spanky. But Ray takes a click because Claude, who also has the vice of the game, is as ruined as he.
