Howard Inlet (Will Smith) is a successful New York advertising executive. His situation changes dramatically when a personal tragedy hits him strongly, which leads him to fall into a deep spiral of depression. His closest colleagues will try to cheer him out and get him out of his lethargy. For this, they will launch an unconventional plan, to force him to face their suffering in a surprising and deeply human way. But this plan will bring unforeseen results.
