Veda is a girl obsessed with death: her mother has died and her father directs a funeral. As she is in love with her English teacher, she points to some poetry courses only to impress her. Thomas J., his best friend, is allergic to bees. Veda's father hires Shelly, an expert makeup artist, and soon falls in love with her, but the girl will try to torpedo the relationship.
