The seven Brown brothers, the most mischievous children in the world, have just lost their mother, and for their overwhelmed father to take care of them and work at the local funeral home is more than he can endure. To make matters worse, his aunt Adelaide, an authoritarian and insensitive woman who gives them financial aid, threatens to stop doing so if his father does not marry within one month. Mr. Brown, who is full of debts, knows that if he does not, he will go to jail. When their children find out about the situation, they begin to behave even worse than before.
